The exciting event of this weekend was the Eventapalooza hosted by our local PBS station. I took G and Baby C (S stayed home since he's been so cranky dealing with the time change) over to the studio to meet Clifford and the Cat in the Hat only to find that the entire county was also carting their children to the atrium of the studio building to meet the beloved characters. I began to realize what I had gotten myself into as we pulled into the parking lot and saw a line out of the door, but the line was moving fairly quickly and I figured that things inside would be organized. Boy was I wrong! We got inside and grabbed a little treat bag (it had a Clifford book in it and Dinosaur Train stickers - G was stoked!) and we tried to move into the other areas and just couldn't. We did manage to see the Cat and the Hat from behind, pet a few service dogs (G adores all dogs), and grab some Clifford ears. We also happened across a man reading The Cat in the Hat and thankfully, it seemed that most kids weren't interested in this activity, but G was. She sat there captivated for the entire story and I had to practically pry her away at the end.

The things we do for our kids - like dodge hundreds of families, strollers, and dogs while trying to keep a baby entertained so that your little girl can have a few moments to see her favorite storybook heroes. But as you can see from the picture above, that smile on her face was so worth it.
