S's Pediatrician Would be So Proud

We're finally experiencing some of the glorious warmer weather that everyone's been talking about for the past month. The Adkins family has been monopolizing on every chance we can get to go outside and bask in the sunshine. I've actually lost track of the number of parks we've been to in the past week, but I know we had a blast!

Unfortunately for S, Beautiful Days + Being Active = Injuries. The child looks like a walking bruise/skinned knee. Maybe all 3 year old boys look like this? Maybe my kid is just a klutz? Whatever the reason, the poor thing skinned the same knee twice this week. The pediatrician raved last year over S's great "summer knees" so they must come with the territory of being an active outside preschooler, but there is a downside to all this injury (aside from the obvious discomfort to S): I spent several clueless hours yesterday walking around in public in a bloody shirt after skinned knee number two occurred. Not sure if this made me look frumpy or tough, but I'm hoping at least a few other moms out there can relate. :)
