A New Chapter Begins

Today was my baby girl's last day of preschool. So I did the typical sentimental mom thing and tried to take a nice picture of her before school began this morning. Here is the result:

No problem, I figured. We'll just try again when we get to school:

But it was a very sunny day

Wait, where is S?

Now we're out of the sun, but Baby C is looking down

At this point, we're almost late for school, so we give up

This was taken in the bathroom during hand-washing time
Apparently all the posing wore S out:

I haven't held him asleep like this in maybe a year. It felt great.
S ended up napping for about two hours! Which gave him lots of energy for G's end of the year preschool picnic this evening, which was held at a local park:
Baby C's new favorite food

He would've eaten the rind if I'd let him

Also a huge watermelon fan
G cried when it was time to leave the park. She knew that the picnic symbolized the end of something, most likely in her mind it just meant a goodbye to her friends and teachers. For me, it was the end of a chapter of her life. My baby girl is no baby. She's not even a preschooler. She's five and on her way to kindergarten.
