We had a fun-packed fall Saturday:
| The day started with some pumpkin cinnamon rolls. This was thanks to C who started my morning at about 4:15. I had lots of time to bake before dawn. |
| Then we hit the fruit farm for a hayride to the pumpkin patch. C thought the hayride was awesome. |
| At one point the tractor lurched forward throwing everyone around. S's response? "Mama, Can we do that again?!" |
| It was only about 30 degrees. G was cold. |
| Ready, set, go pick a pumpkin! |
| The farm has gorgeous views. |
| Daddy spent much of his day keeping C entertained. |
| C's fascinated with this strange, round, orange thing. He would yell excitedly in jibberish while poking it. |
| He's quite coordinated for a 16-month old, but a frosty pumpkin patch is hard to maneuver. |
| They were looking for pumpkins that were small enough for them to carry - there weren't many! |
| Looking for the perfect little pumpkin. |
| Nope, it's most definitely NOT that pumpkin. |
| We found our pumpkin! They were using "teamwork" to pick it up. Yes, they were singing the song while they tried. |
| Poor C. He wanted to run free. |
| He was so excited about our pumpkin. |
| She had warmed up a bit in the sun and was also excited. |
| C and I snuggled on the hayride back to the farm. Or maybe I was just holding him tight to keep him from leaping out. I'll go with snuggling. |
| The kids are waiting in line to pet bunnies. C is running away. |
| He was so good and gentle with the rabbits. Until it was time to put them down, then he dropped them like a hotcake. Poor bunnies. |
| S is rarely this still. |
| She wants to be a veterinarian one day. |
| Not only did the kids get to pet bunnies, but the dollar they each paid to get in went to an orphanage. How cool is that?! |
| Look who's running away again. |
| Next up for the family: the Downtown Fall Festival |
| Pumpkin Sticker Kits. S did the face all by himself. |
| Not surprisingly, G chose the cat face. |
| Mobile play place! |
| He sat way more still for the face painting than he did when I cut his hair earlier this week. :-P |
| G loves her animals. |
| On the Alpha Fire Truck admiring the name tag of the firefighter that shares his name: "Mama, that spells my name!" |
| Keeping C entertained while his older siblings play. |
I am not embarrassed to admit that I slept for two hours when we got home. Then we went to a friend's party for playtime and dinner. No, we do not usually pack this insane amount of stuff into one day. Randy had this weekend off from work and we fully embraced it. :)
