This weekend was the annual festival at the pumpkin patch / fruit farm. Daddy treated us all to breakfast at a restaurant!
| It was early. We were tired. |
Then we took the short drive to the farm and hopped on the hayride:
| Hayrides are fun, even for the "big" kids. |
| The hayride goes past the orchard, hence the hungry look in their eyes. |
We searched for the perfect pumpkin:
| After 20 minutes of searching, we ended up going back to almost the first pumpkin we saw! |
| It was a muddy field. Both boys fell down too. |
And found one!
| Daddy was proud. |
| C was miserable. Who knew mud was so offensive to a two year old? |
Then we picked our apples:
| We didn't even have illicit sampling this year. Pretty impressive for C. |
| Teamwork |
| It's often advantageous to have a Daddy that's nearly 6 foot 3. |
And headed home to quickly change our muddy shoes and head to Bible study. Top off the day with homemade bbq, kale chips, and sweet potatoes, and you have a pretty perfect day!
