We don't really celebrate birth
days around here; we celebrate birth
weeks. Mostly this is due to Randy's crazy overnight, rotating schedule. We postpone parts of the celebration so that Daddy can be included.
In continuation of Tuesday's festivities, we spent this afternoon/evening partying like only our family knows how.
Thanks to a few generous great-aunts, we spent the afternoon at the local version of Chuckee Cheese (the very same place where we took the kids when G turned 5). Even though the play area was quite difficult terrain for a toddler, C had a blast.

| Driving the fire truck |
| S is up high |
| Taking a break in the toddler play area |
| Wait, isn't this supposed to be for the kids? |
| Baby Rambo |
| This slide is way steeper than it looks, hence my expression. |
| The boys could've watched the arcade game demos for hours |
| The "toy-tul" |
| He looks pretty happy |
Then we took the family downtown to Five Guys, a restaurant our kids had never had the opportunity to try. It was well received:
| Thinking about how delicious her cheeseburger is |
| He was just happy to have the peanuts |
And since we'd already well surpassed our daily recommended caloric intake, we figured why not go all-out and head to Rita's for dessert?
| Excited about his chocolate |
| Cuddly girl |
| "I'm too busy eating my chocolate ice to smile, Daddy." |
| His ice made him cold so he climbed up in my lap to steal my warmth |
And then, because as a family we never pass up an opportunity to dance, we took a few moments to get down in front of the Abercrombie and Fitch we parked beside:
| I do not particularly enjoy the strong scent that wafts from this store, but the kids sure did love the music! |
And now the birthday celebration week is officially over! :)
