As the long days of summer slowly fade out and we quickly approach September, we're extracting every last ounce of summer flexibility before we begin the familiar structure of the school year.
| We played soccer as a family. (Only one child took a ball to the face, so we'll call it successful.) |
| G and I had our annual mother-daughter outing. We saw The Secret Garden in the movie theater! |
| We shared some popcorn. :) |
After the movie, we shopped a bit and got a treat. This outing has come to signify that a new school year is rapidly approaching and I'm happy to steal away for some time with my big girl while I can.
Soon there will be two mornings every week in which only one child is at home. It's hard to imagine, given the current activity levels in the house, but it's coming. For now, we enjoy the togetherness that summer brings.
