Fantastically Four!

Today S turned 4! And what a busy day it was.

S received his first gift in the morning - a new booster seat! (If you feel the need to contact me and tell me that he's only four and should still be rear-facing in a harness, please refrain.)

We were very inventive and used a blanket as wrapping paper. Then S was inventive and used the blanket to become a monster.

Under his birthday sign. This year it was actually spelled correctly, which was good because this year he can actually read it.
Randy then took the kids to school and came home to pick me up so that we could go back to school for S's winter "show."
He paid such good attention to the music teacher!

Not a great picture of us, but it'll do.

Birthday party at school! It was also his teacher's birthday!
C made himself at home in the classroom. He prepared a nice meal and then set the table and sat down to eat it.
We came home after preschool and S spent much of the afternoon watching his favorite shows (including 30 Minute Meals) while I worked and Daddy chilled. Then he helped me make his birthday dinner - blueberry pancakes!
"Mama, can I help?!!"

Devouring the end product.
Then we opened some presents, including some pretend food and Mario pjs!

So many presents!
We were able to catch Nana and Grandpa on Skype for singing Happy Birthday and eating our cupcakes, followed by crazy, overstimulated children running around slightly losing it. (They really were good all day Mom and Dad, I promise!)
He specifically asked for chocolate cupcakes, with vanilla and letters on  them.
By bedtime, the kids were quickly deteriorating so we whisked them into their baths and then into bed. S practically beamed his way through the day though. It was a special day for a very special kid. :)
