Now that we're all finally feeling better, we decided to take the kids to Target to use the gift cards they received for Christmas. Their choices were pretty much what you would have expected from this group:
| G chose a baby doll that came with her own cradle. |
| It was either this or a Barbie. I'm glad she chose the baby. Call me a prude, but is it just me or does Barbie never wear enough clothes?! |
| S chose a cooking set. I've been overhearing him muttering things like "cooking away" and "add a little pepper." His other favorite cooking expression is "put it in the oven, nice and hot." |
Baby C was sitting in the cart as we strolled along the toy aisles until something caught his eye. He may be only 19 months old, but his request was very clear, "I want hoop! Peas!" The "hoop" he was referring to was of course, a Little Tikes basketball hoop, which cost a little bit more than he had on his gift card, which I was honestly going to use for diapers because he's one and has enough toys. But apparently Daddy also wanted this "hoop" and I was therefore outnumbered, and so we now have a basketball hoop in our apartment:
| C woke up just before 4:30 AM this morning. The first thing he said to me? You guessed it, "I want hoop!" I told him that he could not play hoop while his brother was sleeping, which was not well received. By 7:30 this morning, all three males had played hoop. Daddy is very happy right now. |
