There comes a time in your parenting journey where one goes, "Oh, crap! These kids are almost fully grown and there are so many things we haven't done with them yet!" I'm sure it's a natural response as we look ahead and realize that the days might have been long but the years have been oh too short. What's a mom to do when she's scrambling to make as many family memories as possible before her children are no longer children? Create a bucket list, of course!
As a family, we began writing down a list of semi-local adventures that we wanted to embark upon. Some were really simple, such as going to the community pool. Others were kind of snarky, and there's no need to repeat them on this page. Others were delightful, but woefully out of reach, such as a family excursion to Rome (unless there is a Rome, PA, that one simply isn't going to happen). However, I determined to make as many of the feasible suggestions a reality. Stay tuned for updates on our progress as we march down our list. It's sure to be a good time, and maybe we will find a Rome along the way.
