This weekend we went to the "beach" for the last time this summer. By "beach" I mean the park with the sandy area by the water. Fall weather hits us early here in the mountains, so I wanted to have one last hurrah of summer on Labor Day weekend.
We went to this same park a few months ago for Baby C's first birthday. A few months can make quite a difference in a one year old and Baby C had an even more enjoyable time. He thinks he's five, so keeping him away from the deep water is tough.

| The water was somewhat chilly, so that likely is why he didn't attempt full submersion. |
 |
| Thinks he's big |
G and S had on some floaties and had the best time ever with the freedom they provided.
 |
| "Look at me swimming!" |
 |
| He was pretending to be a "swimming robot." I do not know what a "swimming robot" is, but it looked like fun. |
The kids also got sandy...VERY sandy...
 |
| There's so much wet sand, it's weighing down his britches! |
After a quick rinse and change of clothes, I passed out some go-gurt and we had a peaceful ride back to town. We had fun in the sand, sun, and water and came home a little sticky from the snack. If that doesn't imbibe all that is summer, I don't know what does. So, so long summer! Bring on the fall!
