As a young family, it seems like every other day we're celebrating someone's "first." Whether it's a birthday, a tooth, or a word, it's just as exciting for us parents as it is for the kids.
So imagine how Randy and I felt when we realized that we'd forgotten to bring a camera to S's first day of preschool. My first thought was that we would've
never forgotten the camera for G's first day of preschool and that poor S was already feeling the unfortunate effects of being second born. But I was being a little hard on myself. I forget the camera
all the time. And we made a pledge to ourselves to bring the camera when we came to pick up the little guy and take lots of pictures then.
Needless to say, S had a blast at preschool, or as he likes to call it "prayer school." (He came up with that name himself and while I don't perpetuate its use, I also don't correct him. It's cute. He'll grow up and stop using incorrect names all too quickly. The day he stopped calling his "bottom" his "bob-um" was a sad day for me.)
S is in a class full of boys. I believe there are 10 boys out of 12 students. This suits S perfectly. It means that everyone is busy, everyone is jumping, everyone is in perpetual motion. He fits right in and he's going to a have a great year.
Without further ado, here's our little man on his first day of preschool:
| Look! He's not the only child who couldn't stay seated for all of circle time! |
| Happy to be at school, but also happy to see his Mama and Daddy afterwards. |
| He was so excited about his backpack! |
| This picture shows just how tall this guy is now. |
| His smile is the sweetest. |
| Photo-op with Daddy and C |
And with one kid in kindergarten and one in preschool, what's a Mama and Daddy to do?
| Love on this little guy, of course! |
