This weekend was the Downtown Fall Festival. It was about 49 degrees and raining and the festival was outside, but since there's 1,000 other festivals this month, they went ahead with the event (well, not 1,000 - but a lot!). We bundled the kids up and headed downtown. The festival provides free pumpkins and sticker kits and the kids can decorate their own pumpkin like a cat or silly face. Not only did G and S enjoy this activity, but it also provided several minutes of entertainment this evening while the kids re-decorated their pumpkins (that is until S started eating the stickers).
Next, the kids got their faces painted. The paint tickled and S couldn't stop laughing, which made the artist laugh, so despite the simplicity of the pumpkin on his face, it still took just as long as the butterfly on G's face to create.
| G's school had walked to the fire house last week, hence her wardrobe choice for the festival. |
Then the rain picked up and Baby C got rather unhappy with the situation, so we walked to the local library so S could play with the magnetic letters and train table and Randy took G back outside to the festival's carousel. G had been talking about this carousel for a month (it was at the fair last year too). Cold rain couldn't keep G away from those horses.
