This past week we finally carved our pumpkin. Everything with tiny kids is an adventure, and pumpkin carving did not disappoint. S was fairly disgusted by pumpkin "goop," but G had the best time pulling out all the seeds. As a matter of fact, she basically pulled them out one by one. G requested that we carve a "scary" face. So, not being a particularly artistic person, I crafted a basic face with fangs and G and I deemed it a "wolf" pumpkin. In normal 2-year old fashion, S refused to call it a "wolf" pumpkin and insisted that it was in fact, an elephant. Fine.

Then on Sunday our church had a Fall Festival (yup, another festival). Only this festival involved a bounce house, bounce maze, face painting, and an enormous goodie bag. We met up with friends at the event and the kids bounced themselves dizzy. S even climbed up the enormous bounce slide all by himself! And his mama didn't even pass out watching him climb so very high, so it was a monumental occasion for both of us. When it was time to go and we were putting shoes back on everyone, S just laid in the floor and let Randy put his shoes on. (Normally putting shoes on S is like trying to lasso jell-o.)

And since poor Baby C is often ignored in this blog, but is undeniably a huge part of every outing, here's a picture of him that I managed to take at home, once the other kids were tucked into bed:
